our worship
how we worship
We find inspiration for our worship in the Bible, and we emulate the church established by Jesus in the New Testament.
assembly
For starters, we want everyone to be comfortable in our services. Some of us dress up for church. Some of us come in jeans. Some wear shorts. Jesus does not demand fancy clothes, he desires consecrated hearts.

song
In our tradition, we blend our voices in worship. The phrase a capella means "in the manner of chapel" and it has been our mode of worship throughout the centuries. Our songs are displayed on a screen in the front, and we sing together in harmony.

scripture
The Bible is the inspired word of God. It has been passed down to us through generations of believing Christians, and it blesses us through the Holy Spirit. We do not hold the Bible above God, we interpret it by his Spirit. He is the final authority.

prayer
Prayer is the persistent companion of our relationship with Jesus Christ. In our services we open our hearts in prayer with one another, glorifying God, asking him to bend our hearts toward the purposes of his kingdom, and thanking him for his eternal love.

communion
On the night before he was crucified, Jesus instituted a new celebration of his covenant with us. We call it The Lord's Supper, and we partake every week. Communion is a time to remind ourselves that Jesus is the bread of life, and the blood of the covenant.

sermon
Preaching and teaching are important parts of Christ's commandment to make disciples. Our preaching minister gives a sermon during our Sunday morning service, and we have 9am classes where our members teach from the Bible.

giving
As an act of worship, we give to the purposes of God's kingdom from the blessings that he has given to us. We have boxes at the back of our auditorium where we encourage members to make an offering to God.
